Abdominal Binder with a Removable Compression Pad - Hernia Belt for Men and for Women
-
Removable compression pad: the raised hump sits directly over the bulge for steady, gentle compression
-
Reposition the pad anywhere: the fastening on the back lets you move it along the belt
-
No buckles or clasps: wraps on in seconds one handed, which helps with arthritic hands
-
No rolling or bunching: two removable flexible spiral stays hold the shape at the sides
-
Latex free throughout: a breathable nylon and spandex binder with no latex components
-
Wear it discreetly: sits under clothing or over it, whichever you prefer
This abdominal binder is built around a removable compression pad, so one belt works as a hernia belt for men and as a hernia belt for women. It is intended for abdominal hernias only: umbilical, navel and belly button, plus ventral and incisional. The raised hump on the pad sits just atop the bulge for steady, gentle compression, and the fastening on the back lets you move it anywhere along the belt.

The binder is a breathable 80 percent nylon and 20 percent spandex weave, and every component is latex free. The pad is built from silicone and plastic with a thin layer of Lycra over it, 85% polyester and 15% spandex, under a detachable, washable cover of 100% polyester terrycloth. Two removable flexible spiral stays at the sides stop the brace rolling down or bunching up.

Two belt heights are offered, 5 in and 8 in, in S/M and L/XL, fitting a torso circumference of 28 in to 60 in with an elastic band range of 28 in to 58 in, and replacement pads are available. Hand wash belt and pad cover in warm water with a little soap, lay flat to dry, avoid high temperatures. This is a support garment, not a treatment: ask your doctor whether it suits you, including before or after surgery and during pregnancy.

FAQs
Q: Which hernia types is this belt intended to support?
A: Those with abdominal hernias, including umbilical, navel or belly button, incisional and ventral hernias, may find this truss belt a comfortable source of support. It is a support garment rather than a treatment, and it is not a substitute for medical care, so discuss your own situation with your doctor.
Q: How can I decide which size hernia belt to order?
A: Measure the circumference of your body at the site of your hernia using a cloth tape measure; the torso circumference range for this hernia corset is 28" to 60".
Q: How should the hernia brace be put on?
A: Place the cushion inside the belt depending on where your hernia is, encircle your body with the band and fasten it securely, then reposition the pad as necessary so it presses against your hernia directly.
Q: How should the hernia pad be adjusted?
A: You just take off the silicone pad that is fastened with closures and place it directly on top of your hernia area to change the position.
Q: Can the abdominal hernia belt be washed?
A: Yes, remove the soft fabric cover and the spiral stays first, hand wash the belt and the cover in warm water with a small amount of soap, lay flat to air dry and avoid high temperatures for drying or washing.
