Pocket sized keyfob: a 55x30x15 mm body that rides on a keyring
A drawer of handsets for the gate, the garage door, the window shutters and the alarm is a daily nuisance. This remote control duplicator replaces the lot. It is a copy type handset that learns the codes from remotes you already own instead of asking you to reprogram a motor, and it works on the 433 MHz band most receivers use. As a universal garage door remote control it covers electric door, retractable door and motor control remotes, plus car and motorcycle remotes.

Pairing takes seconds: hold the two remotes as close together as possible, press a button on the original, and when the LED lights press a button on the copy remote for three seconds until it flashes three times then quickly. Other buttons learn the same way. To clear a code, hold unlock and lock together until the LED flashes; if it still flashes quickly, the code remains and must be erased again.

A code deleted by accident returns when you press start and mute together. The keyfob is 55x30x15 mm (2.17x1.18x0.59 in), runs on DC 12 V at 14 mA, works from -15 C to +75 C and reaches 100 m in an open environment, so a garage remote or gate opener remote answers before you reach the driveway. It cannot copy rolling code remote controls such as HCS301. Keep clear of the moving gate and keep the handset away from children.
